This is home to me.
Any outdoors lover would be spoiled here with the number of activities to choose from. There are endless trails to hike or cycle in the north and east, and three local mountains to choose from for snow adventures in the winter. If you're a water fiend, you can choose from kayaks, outrigger canoes, dragon boats, SUPs, and rowboats right in the middle of the city. Not far out of town, you're in the backcountry for even more places to choose from. There are so many different options no matter the level of activity you seek.
Ironically, I never quite grew up exploring my natural backyard - it just wasn't part of our daily lifestyle. Nowadays I'm always planning my next adventure in or just outside the city. Better late than never, right?
